Beneath the Burning Wing [OPEN!]

Phoenix Corporation, the World's most powerful Political and Economical influence had requested a small few of Silverfang's more prominent Assassin's for the scouting the Corporations perimeters, in case of any National Alliance and/or their Ally, Bloodhound managed to gain closer access to the Complex itself. Of course Alpha, being the only Master Assassin was offered the position as one of the Scout's, centered at the more riskier area, which was within Baghdad, the Capital City of the NA-Nation, Iraq. Being in the center of National Alliance territory in the Middle East was a deadly role, and required one to fully put their lives on the line to accomplish the goal. If any enemies were spotted, such as Militants heading in the direction of the Complex, or Bloodhound Operatives within the Capital City Phoenix had hired Silverfang Assassin's to kill them on the spot. It seemed like a very random task, but, knowing Phoenix's way of business Alpha was certain there was more to this seemingly basic objective. With his sharp, keen eyes he silently remained in place, observing his surroundings. Using his near-microscopic communications system attached to his helmet, he had requested a signal from the 3 other Patrols. "I need a status report on your locations, and now. I expect at least a briefing." Informed Alpha, as he whispered very silently, like a ghost trying to find its way. "Everything is clear, Alpha." One of the Patrol's reported. "Nothing here either Alpha, simply enjoying the breeze..." Another Patrol replied soundly. Then the 3rd Patrol spoke up. "Nothing at the moment, I'll update immediately if it is rendered neccessary." "Alright then, briefing complete. I'll request another briefing at 15:00." Alpha informed diligently. Then the channel had shut down, and Alpha patiently examined the area around him. So far there were only naiive civilians, and buildings all around the Sand-City. There was certainly a cultural difference in this area, but, it's not like he hasn't been here before. Almost everyone around him were wearing a turban, Alpha on the other hand remained completely resilient to the Weather and its condition.

Vera walked up to Alpha. "Exuse me sir, I wad sent here for back up." said Vera "I was told to report to you for further insturction. And I was not that doesn't inculde sending me home." Vera had her mask on so he voice was changed. She activated her suit and her suit changed colors to match the surrounding. This suit wasn't like normal suit that reflect light to hide the person. She waited for her orders.

While Alpha was observing his surroundings below carefully, he heard a silent figure approaching him. Quickly, when the footsteps being heard got close enough, Alpha spun around, whipped out his Cybernetic Knife, and placed it against its throat. Glaring into the figure's blue eyes, he had thought that this was a Bloodhound Operative, however, he was wrong... He recognized that long, silky black hair, and took his knife from the woman's neck. She had reported to him directly afterwards. "Desert Swallow... You startled me. Be more aware of the situation, and not only yours, but your comrades as well." Alpha reminded her coldly. Now wasn't the time for a briefing, however, since command without a Big Boss at Wolf Cove had ordered Alpha to give her a briefing as she had said, he had to. "We are supposed to be covertly observing any National Alliance militants, and/or Bloodhound Operatives whom are approaching the Phoenix Complex a few miles off. It is a spot-and-kill Mission... These killings may not have to occur, but, if they do, kill light but swiftly." Alpha explained diligently, right now his calculating gray eyes were closely examining his surroundings, so, he didn't have time to speak casually with a fellow Silverfang Operative. "So far, none we are looking for have been spotted heading in that direction. This was a prime priority for Silverfang's cohercion with Phoenix Corp. why would they send a Hunter to aid my elite Squad?" Alpha questioned, he was referring to her rank, and their duty. Afterall, in a Wolf Pack rank determined your status and reliability as a Pack member.

Vera shrugged. "They said something about being a possible rising star." said Vera "So they they permanently put me in your group." Vera paused. "When i flew over here i saw a group about 15 kilometers away." said Vera. "It's possible it could be them. I couldn't tell to much sand was in the air." Vera nervously rocked on her heels as she waited for an answer.

Apparently, Desert Sparrow had been temporarily assigned with Alpha's unit for the rest of this Mission. This was a rare case, for Silverfang never really messed their organization for a Mission. Hopefully, this would be the only time such sudden changes would occur. Normally, certain Missions would be Squad-based, however, each member of the Squad was normally responsible for a certain part of the total objective. This time it was different, Silverfang had sent Desert Swallow to aid Alpha, who was their highest ranking member... And whom normally worked independently, Alpha began thinking this was some kind of examination. Desert Swallow had informed Alpha that enemies had been spotted 15 kilometers away. "Well then, prepare yourself. The enemy will be here in roughly 20 minutes." Alpha ordered diligently. "Alright Squad, enemies will be arriving shortly... Prepare yourselves. Desert Swallow and I have the front covered." Alpha informed through his comm. system to the rest of his Squad. He began plotting his strategy.

Vera activated her suit. Colors of the background reflected off her mask and exoskeleton. She preferred this over the light reflecting ones cause for her it seemed more natural. "I guess i'll follow you lead sir." said Vera nervously. This was her first true mission and see didn't want to mess it up. Minutes past and the group was in the clear. It was the enemy. She moved her arm up to the hilt of her sword. The exoskeleton's armor changing color to fit the background. All was calm as they waited.

From a distance, Alpha was able to clearly hear the movement of a few National Alliance Patrols. This had alarmed Desert Swallow, however, they had the advantage here, there wasn't neccessarily a reason to get to hasty, so, Alpha hadn't ordered Desert Swallow to engage on the target, at least not yet. "Remain in place." Alpha ordered softly, turning around, and dashing forward on a few buildings, getting closer, and closer to the Patrol Squad. Eventually, he landed, and crouched behind the chimney of one of the multiple buildings in this desert-City, from this distance he could see the Patrol Squad, they were running, and clouds of smoke followed their trails. They were well-equipped, and prepared for engagement at any time it seemed. This would be quite a problem if this Patrol Squad turned out to be apart of a Reconassiance Sect. of the National Alliance, or if they were being escorted by a couple Bloodhound Operatives, that was a sign that something a lot more serious then was to appear were to go down. Alpha hadn't spotted any Bloodhound Members, but, just to be safe, he felt he should inform the rest of his temporary Squad. With his index finger, he tapped the comm. system on his helmet, there were a couple beeps, but, these beeps could only be heard through the helmet. Before you knew it, transmission was a go. "Alright Squad, it appears there is an organized group of NA Patrols heading in the direction of the exit to this City... Be on your watch. I don't believe it is anything serious, but, if it ends up being serious, kill-on-sight, and do it stealthily. We aren't here to attract the Media, it could jeopardize Phoenix's Projects, and more important, our own." He informed coldly, de-activating his comm. system, for a figure was only standing a few feet in front of him, on the same rooftop.

"Heh... So, it appears Silverfang is interrupting the flow of our operations." Stated a Bloodhound Operative. "It looks like I will have to shed blood today. Prepare yourself, Assassin!" Demanded the Bloodhound Operative as he pulled out his military combat knife, he charged towards Alpha. In response, Alpha drew his Cybernetic Dagger, using the reverse-grip Style that he had learned specifically by the 2nd Big Boss. They clashed, it seemed a quiet battle was taking place on one of the various rooftops. Alpha wasn't in the sight of any allies, and he was too busy fighting to respond to his communication system. Hopefully, the rest of his Squad were preparing themselves, and engaging on the enemy ONLY IF a Bloodhound Operative had attacked them, or if the Patrol Unit was literally leaving the City, and headed towards Phoenix Corp. Alpha's battle with the Bloodhound Operative raged on.

Vera was still only a few feet form alpha. Which caused her to get noticed. She was now in her own fight. She had her katana out and was fighting with an bloodhound agent. Her black suit was visible now bemuse it didn;t matter if she hid she was already spotted. Her Black hair was flying all over the place form the fight. Her sword clashed against her enemies. They were at a dead lock trying to over power the other. They were like that for 5 minutes. Her blue eyes staring down the other. She over powered the other and cut the man's throat. She turned to see how alpha was doing.

The Bloodhound Operative had swung his Combat Knife swiftly, Alpha was impressed by his speed. However, Alpha's own speed were just as good, this Bloodhound Operative was perhaps a rank near to, or actually in comparison to a Master Assassin. The Bloodhound Operative swung his Knife again, however, Alpha backed up ever so slightly, and from then on, it was a long chain of him swinging, and Alpha backing up, their movement speed was so incredible, that it was difficult keeping up. This simply showed the equilibrium of Silverfang, and Bloodhound. This time, after the Operative's 20th swing, he had front flipped over Alpha, and turned quickly, striking Alpha in the back with his Knife's blade. That would have been death for Alpha, but, due to his Exoskeleton, he only took minor damage. Alpha jumped, skidding his heel blades on the Operative's armor, there were loud screeches because the Operative's armor was well-built. After skidding on his Armor, he pushed off against it, after immediately retracting his heel blades. He landed about 18-20 feet across from the Operative, and turned quickly. They were once more face-to-face, however, now they both bore the eyes of a killer, grinning so. With Alpha's right arm, he fired his Pistol directly at the Operative's armor by suprise, and with incredible speed and accuracy. It dented his opponnent's armor, but, that was good enough. Right when the Operative charged forwards at Alpha, Alpha lunged his Cybernetic Dagger directly at the Operative's chest. Luckily this pierced through the Operative's armor, paralyzing him, and stopping him on the spot for a short, temporary amount of time, due to shock. Taking advantage of this pause in his opponnent's advancement, Alpha had skewered the Operative head on, there was some blood, now along his Cybernetic Sword's edge, and it was dripping loudly, from the top of his blade. Right when Alpha took the Sword out of the Operative's chest, he swung it, to rid of blood, and sheathed it calmly. His opponnent fell before him, cold and dead on the ground.

A few feet away, on another rooftop, Desert Swallow had been standing right near another corpse. Alpha was almost certain no one was within his range, but, he must've been wrong. Apparently the Patrol Unit they had spotted were actually heading in the direction of Phoenix Corporation for whatever reason. Alpha activated his near-microscopic comm. system. "Are we all clear?" Alpha questioned sternly. "Yeah... They couldn't get very far with my Sniper's scope one them..." Replied one of Alpha's Squadmates. "I was ordered to kill them on the spot and quickly, so I had done so... No longer are there anymore nearing my position. It will all remain a mystery to the Public." Replied yet another Squadmate. And finally... "None even got this far, what a drag." From the last Squadmate. "Alright, good. I guess for now we are fine. If none come through here for the next few hours, then our Mission is a success. Dispose of the bodies." Alpha ordered coldly, it was as if death was nothing more then some natural, perhaps as natural as his own heartbeat... He noticed Desert Swallow was about to approach him.

"Hey." said Vera. "Uh..... Nice kill?" Vera didn't have a com device on her she forgot hers. "Now what?" she ask with a mixture of curiosity and snobbishness that was unintentional. She looked at the dead body. It was alot blooder then the body she left. That confused Vera cause she killed her opponent but cutting the guys throat. She looked back at Alpha and pulled down her mask so her mask would be around her neck. "You know just becuase it's cloth and it only covers the bottom half of my face." said Vera now becuase her mask was down, in her real voice. "It wouldn't be very hot and easy to breath in, that's not always the case." Vera was sort of scared To talk to alpha. Form what she heard he was the type of guy that would kill you if you looked at Him wrong.

"We wait..." Alpha informed the Hunter. He then remained still, and closed his eyes... Reflecting on the occurence that happened so recently. "Anyway... Don't waste your time speaking with me, dispose of the Bloodhound Operative you killed." Alpha demanded intently. He was being very stern with the Hunter, she didn't seem very fluent with killing others, and her personality certainly didn't reflect a killer's. While Desert Swallow was to dispose of the body, Alpha was preparing to dispose of the Bloodhound Operative's that he had just killed. Due to his Cybernetic Sword's distinct upgrade, he was able to fully heat the blade, heat it so much, that it'd be able to cause flames on these stone buildings, just like flint. After heating the blade to its maximum capacity, he had scraped the stone around the dead Operative's body using his Cybernetic Sword's single-edge. Some fires were born, they flung about silently, and they were on top of the roof, so no one around had noticed them, they weren't expected to get very high in the first place. Soon enough, the fires had engulfed the corpse of the Bloodhound Operative, for a moment the area around Alpha stenched with burnt blood, however, Alpha was used to it. Once the body was taken care of by being burnt to ash, Alpha turned around, and sat on the edge of the building, he remained very cold and quiet.
